How did you meet? What was your first date like?

We met on an outdoor patio at a waterfront restaurant. We had drinks, ordered some food, and laughed non-stop. We discovered that our birthdays are one day apart, our Irish family backgrounds are very similar, and we definitely share the same sense of humor. He was supposed to go to a graduation party from there, but we spent 5 hours there and didn’t want to say goodbye.

Describe the moment you knew it was true love!

We both break out in huge smiles when we see each other, which is as often as possible. It’s a deep connection that is mutual. We love being together. Our values align and the comfort level is as if we’ve known each other for years. Both of our families noticed that. We fit together effortlessly.

What advice would you give other SilverSingles members, who are still looking for love?

Watch those “have you met” listings! Tom was not in my regular matches, but he stood out in the “wildcard” matches. Stick with it! At our age, we know what we want, and don’t want. Stay true to your goals. Pay attention to what they’re looking for, too. Go out, meet people and see how you align. I’ve met several very nice, quality men, but this connection is above and beyond what I had hoped to find.
