How did you meet? What was your first date like?
Our first date was at a coffee house in downtown Mesa, Arizona. He had a great smile and was so very kind. I had prayed for a man who was kind and gentle and he definitely fit the bill. I went to use the lady’s room and we joked about the Big Bang Theory episode where a girl on a first date climbs out the bathroom window because of nerves. I promised him I wouldn’t do that and that I would definitely be back. We talked about our families and what we liked to do for fun. There was just something safe and comforting about him.
Describe the moment you knew it was true love!
I got Covid during the first couple months of us dating. He drove over 20 miles from his home to bring me Gatorade and medicine.
What advice would you give other SilverSingles members, who are still looking for love?
Don’t give up. There are kind people out there. Take time to get to know the person. Use common sense but don’t judge them immediately. Everyone gets nervous. Look at a first date as practice.
